Edinburgh is set to benefit from a new  fund established to help individuals and grassroots community organisations tackle poverty head on in the Capital.

City councillors are today expected to approve £100,000 funding for the current financial year for the Regenerative Futures Fund – unlocking another £4.5 million in immediate promised funds, with the prospect of up to another ten million to follow over the next ten years. The council is also likely to approve the recommendation that “at least” similar levels of funding are considered in their budgeting moving forward.
